Testimonials

DR. ANDREW SIMONE

“Our mission is to give every person on earth the opportunity to develop their soul. To allow them the health to go to school and work to live a life of dignity, to be protected from abuse, to freely choose the faith they wish to follow. I would like to help the poorest of the poor in the world.”

As we follow in the footsteps of St. Teresa of Calcutta and in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi we prepare to go forward in another new year of service to God and to the poor of this earth. We are happy that even in their retirement, Andrew and Joan Simone faithfully remain as spiritual advisors, volunteers and benefactors of this charity they founded over thirty years ago. Thank you to each and every one of you for your prayers, many wonderful gifts and your generous donations. You have helped to ease unimaginable suffering and given hope, love and life to countless little ones. Together we will continue to help feed the hungry children of the world. We wish everyone a Blessed Christmas and hope you will join us in the joyful celebration of the Christmas Mass to be held in the warehouse. About Us

Canadian Food For Children is a registered charity with the Canadian government.  Our goal is to feed the poor.  All donations collected go towards feeding the poorest of the poor in developing countries throughout the world.  Each dollar that you donate can provide 20 nutritious meals.   Virtually all work for at the charity is undertaken by volunteers.

Joan and Andrew Simone - Founders

Joan and Andrew Simone started working with Blessed Mother Teresa in 1980.  In 1981, Mother Teresa requested that they send food to the poor in Tanzania and Ethiopia where people were suffering from malnutrition due to severe drought.  Food could not be purchased there and therefore the food they sent was a tremendous blessing.  With the approval of Mother Teresa, CFFC became an official charity in 1985 and presently sends food to 18-22 developing countries throughout the world.  The teachings of Jesus in the Gospels and their Catholic faith inspire them to do this work.
